Stefanie Tornow - Vocals

Three years violin lessons and piano lessons for eight years during her school days brought Stefanie a solid musical foundation. Since her early days she listened to Jazz and was impressed and inspired by singers such as Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald and Lorez Alexandria.

Between 2005 and 2009 Stefanie attended the Jazz Project at the Freie Musikschulzentrum in Munich under the leadership of Geoff Goodman. She has also appeared at the "New Talents on Stage" in the Jazzclub Unterfahrt in Munich, and completed successfully in May 2009 the Vocal Master Classes and competition of the new Jazz School Munich eV with the famous vocalist Sandy Patton. The audience stated they were charmed by the graceful musical intensity of her voice.

She is currently taking private voice lessons with Reinette van Zijtveld-Lustig specialising in Jazz singing, but also voice training lessons with Beéla Müller. Her music currently ranges from swing and latin to blues and soul.


 
Marcin Wright - Clarinet, Flute, Saxes

The Englishman Marcin Wright has been working as a Professional Musician, Teacher, Composer and Producer for around 15 years. Specialising in being a Multi-Instrumentalist (playing Clarinet, Saxes, Flute, Guitar, Bass and much more). Marcin graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales in 1997. After being based in Cardiff from 1994-2006 - although playing all over the world - he then spent two years playing all over Europe (whilst based in Italy) with the acclaimed Gypsy Jazz group The Tolga Quartet.

As a Professional Musician he has played and released albums with many musicians from many different disciplines, including the Gareth Roberts Quintet, Dave Stapleton Quintet, Welsh Jazz Composers Orchestra, Tolga Quartet, Keith Tippett, Martin Carr (Boo Radleys); played music festivals and toured all over Europe and South America - including Brecon Jazz and the London Jazz Festival, Salvador and Sao Paolo in Brazil, International Manouche Festival, etc...

He has been living now in Munich for the past 3 years, but last winter cycled an epic 3 month/4000km cycle around europe to raise money for charity. see www.marcinonabike.com
 
Daniel Wildner - Guitar

Daniel Wildner was born in 1983 in Passau.

After playing both Flute and Piano for 7 years, at the age of 15 he began to teach himself guitar. After graduating from high school he began studying a degree in the History of Art at the University of Passau. During this time he took private lessons in Regensburg with reknowned German Jazz Guitarist Helmut Kagerer.

In 2005 Daniel moved to Munich specifically to attend the New Jazz School and to study with Bernd Hess. In 2007 he began to study with Peter O'Mara at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. As well as having attending many workshops all over Germany, and even as far afield as Prague, Daniel continues to play concerts as a guitarist in pretty much everything from small Jazz combo´s to Big Bands, including recently in the Gasteig Symphony Hall in Munich.

 
Philipp Mai - Double Bass

The Munich bassist Philipp Mai, now 30 years old, has had a wide range of musical experiences and interests. On Double Bass he has played in numerous Jazz formations in the region of Munich, including the great Baly Kahn Jazz Orchestra.

On Electric Bass he has performed in many different Rock, Funk, Pop and Blues groups. He also playes the piano and the guitar. As far as Acoustic Bass is concerned Philipp was mainly influenced by Ray Brown, John Patittuci and Paul Chambers. He was also trained by the outstanding bassist Litschie Hrdlicka at the Munich Jazz School.
